Why I Knit and Crochet

Knitting and crocheting offer me a creative, grounding counterpoint to the more physical and high-energy aspects of my work. They help me slow down, focus, and craft intentional, tangible pieces. The rhythmic, meditative process is calming and reflective, supporting my mental wellness. For me, these crafts are both a form of self-expression and a way to stay centered.

I find myself in a meditative state when I’m knitting or crocheting. The repetitive motions, the rhythmic clicking of needles and hooks, and watching the yarn slowly transform into something useful and beautiful create a sense of peace and purpose.
