Doctoral Student - Psy.D

Jasmyn is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology (Military Track) at Adler University, where she also serves as Vice President of the Military Psychology Student Organization (MPSO). She is actively engaged in multiple campus communities, including the Adler Black Student Association and the Traumatic Stress Psychology Student Association.

She holds a Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. During her undergraduate studies, she studied abroad at the University of Ulster’s Magee Campus in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, where she was recognized as both a Wendt Scholar and a Gilman Scholar.

In addition to her academic training, Jasmyn brings over twelve years of corporate experience as a Human Resources and Talent Management professional across a range of industries. She has also been an entrepreneur since 2017, owning and operating a fitness studio.

Her clinical experience includes working with diverse populations across the lifespan, including children, adults, and veterans. She supports individuals navigating Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), with a focus on practical strategies for daily functioning and resilience.

Jasmyn’s work is guided by a commitment to applying her academic training and leadership experience to better understand and serve underserved populations, particularly veterans and Black/African American communities.

    Currently pursuing doctoral training in clinical psychology with a specialized focus on military psychology. Interests include trauma recovery, veteran reintegration, and therapeutic approaches tailored for service members and their families.

    Gained extensive training in organizational behavior, leadership development, performance evaluation, and employee wellness. Completed over 600 hours of applied internship in a nonprofit HR setting.

    Dual focus on individual mental health and social systems, with training in research methodology, counseling theories, and social justice frameworks.
